Tessera

Resize images at request time, not at upload time.

Tessera fetches a source image, applies the transform encoded in the URL and returns the result. Nothing is stored: the edge cache holds the output, the origin holds nothing.

Example

/api/render?src=https://example.org/photo.jpg&w=640&fit=cover&fm=webp

Parameters

w, hTarget dimensions in pixels. One may be omitted to preserve aspect ratio.
fitcover · contain · fill · inside. Defaults to contain.
fmOutput format: webp, avif, jpeg, png. Negotiated from Accept when unset.
qEncoder quality, 1–100. Defaults to 82.

Operational notes

Health is reported at /api/health. Source images are fetched with a 10 s timeout and a 20 MB ceiling; anything larger is rejected with 413. Responses carry immutable cache headers keyed on the full parameter set.
